Meet the Team

  • Cory Hansen

    President

Husband to his best friend Rachel, father to the 4 sweetest kids in the world and President of Peace of Mind Experience, Cory has a passion for family, fine coffee and fastbacks. He is left-handed, craves chocolate chip cookie dough, and feels privileged to be a part of the lives of the team and clients at Spectrum.

  • Allison Smith

    Business Manager

Allison’s family owns Pedal and Spoke Bicycle Shop, where she learned the value of a great company culture, something that can be sensed in the work she does organizing, managing and improving client and employee experiences at Spectrum. Allison and her husband Aaron have one son, and together they enjoy camping and exploring new places together.

  • Derek Funkhouser

    Operations Manager

Derek and his wife Bekah have a daughter who has just started fist-bumping her baby doll, so he’s clearly succeeding as a father. Derek’s background includes feeding cattle, working at a hostel in Amsterdam, and designing residential and commercial buildings with an architectural firm. So if you require an associate with deep understanding of building construction, temporary living arrangements, or bovine behavior, he’s your guy.

  • Jason Hoskins

    Client Experience Initiator

Jason is often the first point of contact for Spectrum clients, and his caring personality and calm demeanor make him perfect for it. He deals with any pesky negative emotions by channeling them into his two favorite TV shows, Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. Jason and his wife Robin and their two daughters enjoy spending time together and with extended family, and if there’s a professional sports event on, so much the better!

  • Brian Olson

    Sales Asociate

An expert at putting out fires (he’s been a volunteer fireman since 1999), Brian’s passion is making sure Spectrum’s clients are cared for well. He’s married to Janelle, and they have two children. When he’s not coaching his son’s football team, bowling, or responding to emergencies, he can be found riding his Harley.

  • Justyn Arnold

    Project Manager

Justyn keeps busy restoring his 100-year-old home where he lives with his wife and four kids, so taking buildings apart and putting them back together again is a passion that makes Justyn a perfect part of the Spectrum team. He was also the winner of his first-grade class art contest, so if your restoration project requires stick figures, he’s the one we’ll turn to.

  • Beth Gauger

    Client Experiences Professional

Beth knows from previously working at Starbucks that a smile and a kind word (and a latte!) can go a long way in making someone’s difficult situation seem more manageable, and she brings that knowledge into her interactions with Spectrum. She is married to Tim, and together they love to watch football or enjoy the great outdoors. She’s also a stellar baker, which the staff at Spectrum can attest to!

  • Jamie Ryan

    Senior Technician

Jamie and his wife Carrie have been married since 2007 and have two sons; together they enjoy working on the house, fishing, and ministering in their local church. Jamie is not just an employee, he’s a satisfied customer – in 2008, Spectrum dried out his basement; the rest, as they say, is history. He is known around the office for being very particular in how he keeps his equipment, and he suspects that this condition is getting worse as he gets older.

  • Chris Hoskins

    Senior Technician

If you ask Chris about the center of his universe, he’ll tell you about his daughter Makayla, and how every minute with her is a joy. And how it’s given him the opportunity to perfect his Pop-A-Shot game at Chuck E. Cheese’s. Chris grew up in the Chicago suburbs, and enjoys spending time with his two older brothers and their families.

  • Joel Carlson

    Carpet Cleaning and Restoration Technician

You can always count on Joel. He is known for his efficiency cleaning carpets, and for his familiarity with many of Spectrum’s clients as he’s been part of the team for so long. Joel enjoys playing sports such as volleyball and basketball, and when he can combine that with relaxing with good friends, it’s a weekend well-spent.

From Our Clients

Spectrum’s response was immediate and thorough as they came alongside of our personnel and were diligent in cleanup activities which helped to restore our food facility to safe operation within 3 days. Their personnel worked around the clock to ensure that the necessary activities occurred and they provided constant progress updates to our leadership until the tasks were complete.

Terry E., VP of Operations

[Spectrum] crews came and cleaned several thousand square feet of carpeting in our meeting rooms, hallways, and office area. We were very impressed with the work that they did. They were prompt and responsive to our needs. Their staff was courteous and professional. They were careful in their work and we appreciated their sensitivity to our staff and operation.

Jay C., CEO

The morning the pipe burst in DuPage Children’s Museum, Spectrum was on the scene within an hour of being called. . . . Each and every person who we worked with demonstrated a calm and professional manner that was exceptional during a period of such loss and adjustment for the Museum staff. . . . I couldn’t imagine a better group of people to work with through a situation like this.

Kimberly S., Director of Exhibits and Operations

The water/sewer clean up team was courteous and worked so neatly, swiftly, efficiently.  In the midst of a “sorry” situation, their cheerfulness and compassion for (name deleted) residents was endearing.  An impressive company indeed.

Marcia M., Chicago

Spectrum cleaned after a wine spill on our light tan colored carpet. They did a phenomenal job! The techs were friendly and efficient. They got the stain out completely and the rest of our carpets, and our furniture, look fantastic! I would highly recommend Spectrum!
